A fresh rose lasts twelve days. A preserved rose lasts 1 to 3 years — the same soft petals, the same layered form, the same colour depth, held permanently at the moment of peak bloom. Nordblooms preserved roses are real roses, cut at their best and treated with a plant-based biopreservation process that maintains every quality of the living flower without a single drop of water. From the single-stem Classic Rose in a ceramic bud vase to the overflowing Amélie and the sculptural Mirror Rose, each arrangement is handcrafted at our studio at 46 Howard Street, SoHo, New York City.
Nordblooms preserved roses are available in a wider colour range than fresh roses in season. Every colour holds its intensity across the full lifespan of the arrangement.

Nordblooms preserved roses range from single-stem arrangements in ceramic bud vases to large overflowing compositions in mirror glass and stone vessels. Long-stem roses create a sculptural, architectural look. Short-stem arrangements create a dense, traditional centrepiece feel.
Browse by size: petite, small, medium, large. For mixed arrangements combining roses with hydrangeas and peonies, see preserved vase arrangements.
Preserved roses are 100% real. Every rose in a Nordblooms arrangement starts as a living flower cut at peak bloom. The biopreservation process replaces the natural sap with a plant-based solution that maintains the cellular structure of each petal — keeping them soft, layered, and vivid.
They are not silk, not foam, not artificial in any sense. Visit our SoHo studio at 46 Howard Street and touch the petals yourself. That is the fastest way to confirm it.
Nordblooms preserved roses last 1 to 3 years in a stable indoor environment. Keep them out of direct sunlight, away from high humidity, and never add water. Most arrangements look excellent for 18 to 24 months.
The existing copy on this collection said "up to a year." The honest answer is 1 to 3 years — with the full range depending on placement conditions. A rose in a north-facing room away from steam and direct sun regularly reaches year two and beyond. Read the full preserved flower lifespan guide for room-by-room placement advice.
Preserved rose and eternity rose refer to the same thing. Both terms describe a real rose treated with a preservation process to hold it in its peak-bloom state for 1 to 3 years. "Forever rose" is another common name for the same product.
The terms vary by brand and region but the underlying product is identical: a real rose, not artificial, that requires no water and does not wilt. At Nordblooms, we use preserved rose throughout — every product is handcrafted in our SoHo studio from real stems treated with our biopreservation process. Read the full preserved roses and eternity roses guide for the complete explanation.
None. No water, no trimming, no sunlight, no fertiliser. The complete care requirement for 1 to 3 years is: keep out of direct sunlight, keep away from high humidity, and do not water them.
An occasional very light dusting with a soft dry brush after several months is optional. Nothing damp, never a cloth, never spray cleaning products near the arrangement.
Yes — they are one of the most considered flower gifts available. A fresh rose gift lasts twelve days at most. A preserved rose arrangement stays in the recipient's home for 1 to 3 years, gets seen every day, and gets complimented by every person who visits.
Preserved roses work for anniversaries, birthdays, Mother's Day, housewarming, and romantic gestures. For the 15th wedding anniversary specifically, the traditional flower is the rose — and a preserved arrangement means the gesture lasts far longer than the occasion.

No. The biopreservation process removes the natural rose fragrance along with the natural sap. Preserved roses have no scent. This is the one meaningful difference from fresh roses.
It is also an advantage for certain placements — bedrooms, offices, and nurseries where a strong fragrance would be unwanted. If scent is important to the occasion, fresh roses are the right choice. If lasting visual quality matters more, preserved is significantly better value.
On a cost-per-day basis, yes. A fresh rose arrangement lasts 12 days at best. A Nordblooms preserved arrangement lasts 1 to 3 years. The daily cost of peak-quality appearance is significantly lower for preserved.
The more meaningful comparison is lasting impact. A gift someone still has in their home a year later is a different gesture entirely from one that was gone within two weeks. For gifting, home decor, and any context where longevity matters, preserved is the better investment.
Yes. Nordblooms takes custom orders for specific colour combinations, vessel choices, sizes, and styles. Custom orders suit specific interior briefs, corporate gifting, weddings, and occasions where a standard arrangement does not fully capture what you have in mind.
